Apparently, Wendy's not only hires teenage instant messengers to make burgers, but to write signs too.

I don't have anything against teenagers. Heck, I even used to be one. I just never wrote an instant message or a text as one, and now that I do use those mediums, I'm responsible enough not to let the style cross over into professional or academic work.

I'm not a strict prescriptive grammarian, but I do think we need some standards to communicate well.

are you sure it's teenagers...or just idaho? kind of reminds me of the banner my friend kerry told me about in their town's parade when the gulf war broke out. it read "we support the troops, their are hero's."

Well, I suppose that I have no real proof that teenagers wrote those signs. They very well could have been written by adults. The first one is from Moad, UT, and the last two are opposite sides of the same sign in Idaho.

I like that banner; it's over-possessive.

Uh, Lance...I think you mean Moab.

Right, Moab :)

Hey Lance. Brother, I have been horrible about my relationships as of recent, and I just needed to check in and say hello.

Hope you're doing well. For some reasons, though, my RSS feed on Thunderbird hasn't been keeping me updated on your blog. Hmmm.

Much Love, Justin.
